“Drive from the Airport - over an hour - the first 15 minutes were ok - after that potholes that you could get lost in! (Still this way, but the taxi cabs do have beer soft drinks and water for your trip..no beer stop)
Check in - Smooth.
Food: Best I have had in the Caribbean!! Lots of variety and well prepared.
Drink: Premium liquors and coke in bottles. (Bottle Cokes are in the fridges as well as water and beer)
Staff: Very friendly, polite and helpful.
 

“Food and drinks were all top class. We never got a bad meal. Tipping is not required but, in reality, most people seemed to give tips. The staff are so friendly and helpful that you probably will want to leave tips. Be prepared for this as there is no ATM or cash facility at the resort. The nearest ATM is in Rio San Juan, about 15/20 minutes taxi ride.”  (We tipped for above average service..as we do most places)

The ocean view was fantastic. You can walk all along the cliff and watch for whales in the Atlantic. (only in Jan / Feb) Some telescopes would be great in that area.

“The staff led by Patricia and Fernando were the best of any resort we have vacationed. We have been to St Martin, Hawaii, Bahamas, and have 2 weeks of timeshares in Aruba. Nowhere have we been treated with such fine service, and total commitment to please.
I have trouble walking and stairs. Every day my wife would call the front desk to get a ride to breakfast and dinner and back. Within 5 minutes, a vehicle was at our door. Lunch was at the downstairs pool and beach area, no problem. “ (There is a set of steps with 60 steps from the upper to the lower level )  Aug 2010

“The service was excellent. Everyone bent over backwards to get you what you needed and with a smile. They even try to remember what you drink and will be pouring it as you walk up. They will make any kind of drink they can for you, if they have the ingredients. The coco locos were great. A not too sweet fruity drink served in a fresh coconut that they cut open right in front of you. Presidente and Presidente light is the beer they serve, which we actually enjoyed. Most of the liquors are local brands, but they did have Absolute, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and Grey Goose that is usually hidden away and not at all bars”  July 2010  (Please let us know what type of adult beverages you prefer, we can’t guarantee the resort will have them, but we will try to have everything on your arrival. )

The staff was wonderful and the grounds were immaculate! The food was first class and the maids kept our room spotless. I miss the big shower. I was able to scuba dive in a local cave and we ventured across the island exploring in a rental car. The beach was small but big enough for the few friendly couples that were there. It was the perfect place to bare it all without feeling uncomfortable. We will definitely make the trip again! May 2010 ( There should not be a small crowd as it’s October 2010 and we’ve already book half the resort)
