Cave Dwellers Trip to Hedonism 2
Caribenism's Towel Policy
Each guest is given two towel cards. Fresh towels are available until 4pm after that check the nude beach towel hut. Pick up fresh towels before then for the late hot tub. Return the towels or the cards when you leave or get charged $20 per towel.  Keep your towels nearby as towels may be stolen during the week.

From Caribe:
We have implemented our towel program and our guests have been finding it easier as there are always towels available.

Upon check in each guest is given either two (2) towels or two (2) towel cards; the towel cards can be exchanged at the watersports shop between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm; after that time the dirty towel or towel cards can be exchanged at the towel hut located at the Nude Beach at anytime or you can check with the front desk.

Also upon check out you can either elect to hand in your towel cards or the dirty towels.
I hope I have been able to settle all your concerns as it pertains to the new towel program presently implemented at the resort.

Here is a couple of post from Denny P's site.

We just got back after 15 days. Towel program is working fine. We were advised by ... that we could request more towels (certificates) if we went back to the front desk and that the max was 3 pp. Of course, you would be on the hook for each towel at $20.00 each. We did not bother but I did note a few that did.

There was no shortage of fresh towels. My only 'complaint' was that after water sports closed, you could only get them from the station beside Robert's grill; a long walk from the far side but not a big deal either.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many questions are unresolved such as the obvious disrespectful and virtually unstoppable towel stealing.

Over time the two towel boxes will be either empty or (very unlikely) staffed. As mentioned in another thread, towels were freely distributed during the first two days of the program as a start up grace period.

Noel, the current principle towel staffer at the watersport hut, must sign for a batch of towels (say 400) and at the end of the day he must return the sum of towels and towel cards totally 400. If not, he says that the $20 comes from his pocket. Hard for me to believe, but I asked him twice and got the same answer. I did see him and a helper counting towels to piles of 20 and then into plastic bags of 60 towels.

Towels are not being picked up from the beach after sunset (they historically were done so by the beach staff). Instead, towels are left overnight (and by my eye left until late the next morning and still not picked up). The beach was nearly empty of towels, however, in the evening as they were (95 percent) picked up by guests. PS: since they are being left overnight, this gives new opportunities for the chairs hoarders to 'reserved' 'their' chair overnight.

The program is currently paper based. When getting your cards, a note book entry is made and you must sign that entry. This is to say that the towel program is not a part of H2's computerized guest system but is administered manually. So to facilitate a speedy checkout, I would suggest you make a mental note of the page number of your entry in the log book.

Those of us that were at H2 in the days before the program started were 'prepared' as we knew it was coming. Those arriving in the coming days will see the full impact.
